Smart Charts
Simple moving average real-time charts (Smart Charts) form the basis of the smart strategies. Originally the moving averages we used were simple moving averages hence the name "smart" However later on we changed them to exponential moving averages keeping the name "smart" for obvious reasons. The trends are defined by values of time such as the daily trend or weekly trend etc. These are then converted to ema's on each timeframe. One day or 24 x 1 hour, 48 x 30 minutes or 96 x 15 minutes for example. We calculated the trends to show almost identically on each of the seven timeframes used allowing us to execute our strategy on lower timeframes whilst maintaining the bigger picture. Each trend is defined by two ema's, the primary trend and the secondary or retracement trend which we use to form the coloured areas on the charts we call hot zones. There are several hot zones on the charts that a trader could follow which makes both the charts and the strategies suitable for almost all types of traders regardless of their trading style.
